A Few Words About Us

Sima Kaganas, RDN, LD

As a registered dietitian nutritionist, I have 15 years of experience helping people with chronic health conditions optimize their health through evidence based nutrition therapy. I have a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and a masters degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. After undergoing my own personal health journey with autoimmune GI disease and discovering the life-changing effects of nutrition-based therapy, I knew I had to share what I’d learned with others undergoing similar challenges. Today, I specialize in gut health and all the conditions impacted by it including digestive disorders (IBD, colitis, IBS, GERD, SIBO), autoimmunity, and mental health conditions (autism, PANDAS, PANS, migraine). I have firsthand experience with the difficulties that come along with a chronic health condition, and I am super passionate about helping others overcome their own health challenges. I also work with clients with mast cell disease including mastocytosis, mast cell activation disorder, and histamine issues. Utilizing a functional medicine approach, I aim to uncover the root cause of disease and create personalized plans for longstanding health and vitality.

Monica Hollifield, RDN, LD

I’m a CDR-credentialed and Florida licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and graduate of Florida International University’s Stempel School of Public Health. From a young age, I’ve had a passion for food and cooking. I grew up in a family of athletes and physicians and have witnessed how what we eat affects our performance, our mood, and our overall health and wellbeing. Receiving my degree in nutrition was a way for me to combine my love for food with the things I had experienced first hand throughout my life. I’ve worked in long-term care, private clinical practice, and intermediate facilities helping others in their health journey live life to the fullest. I have experience counseling individuals struggling with weight management, Diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, special needs, and gastrointestinal issues. I’m dedicated to helping others achieve their unique health goals. I practice and promote an intuitive eating approach to life that embraces a nourishing relationship with food and the body by accepting where we are today while working towards a healthier tomorrow. I’m eager to share my knowledge with others and to listen to their experiences so that we can grow healthier and happier together.
